MEWiP June Meeting

  • 75 Park 75 Park Street Lewiston, ME, 04240 United States (map)

This month we will discuss the balance between our fundraising roles and our organization's engagement with the community. We invite you to bring your insights, experiences, and questions to this collaborative discussion as we strive to enhance our ability to effectively navigate the intersection of fundraising and community engagement while prioritizing our well-being.

Discussion Points:

Acknowledging Challenges: We'll begin by acknowledging the unique challenges faced by fundraisers in community-focused roles, such as compassion fatigue, burnout, and the emotional toll of supporting others.

Personal Boundaries: We'll explore the importance of setting and maintaining personal boundaries to prevent overextension and preserve mental and emotional well-being. How do we establish boundaries that honor our professional commitments and individual needs?

Cultivating Non-Work Identities: Recognizing that our identities extend beyond our professional roles, we'll discuss the significance of cultivating interests, hobbies, and relationships outside work. How do these non-work identities contribute to our overall well-being and resilience?

Technology Use: We'll examine our relationship with technology and its impact on our ability to disconnect from work. How can we balance leveraging technology for professional purposes and unplugging to recharge?
